The Architecture of Emotion

At the point where Architecture, Art and Lifestyle intersect, Meryem has developed an inspiring savoir-faire that she spontaneously uses in every partnership.

A graduate of L´École Nationale D'Architecture et de Paysage de Bordeaux, she began her career in the professional world with one of the biggest names in the luxury industry, LVMH. She designed for Louis Vuitton in the USA then Japan, in partnership with high end names such as Peter Marino, Jun Aoki, Shigeru Ban, UN Studio and Rudy Ricciotti who became a very dear friend.

Subsequently, she worked for 2 of the most prestigious department stores in the world, Le Bon Marché and Printemps Grands Magasins; "Creating journeys... Walking through the eyes of the customer and sculpting a space that turns their visit into a unique unforgettable experience."

After 8 years in Paris she embarked on a new venture and moved to Lisbon where she opened a Studio with her husband in Parque das Nações. Contemplating the Tagus every morning, she enjoyed sketching, designing and thinking spaces, as well as visual identities. In December 2013, a new challenge arrived and Meryem began working as a creative Project Manager for a cutting-edge multidisciplinary agency based in Amsterdam.

As a cosmopolitan traveler between Marrakech, NYC, Tokyo, Lisbon, Dubai, Paris and other cities, she is continually inspired by her surroundings. She is currently developing her own limited edition collection of Accessories that will launch in September 2014.

"I strongly believe that nowadays, life is defined by the emotional value we give to what surrounds us. We want to have, but we mainly want to feel and experience. Being an art advisor allows me to be in touch, feel and share those emotions".

Meryem is a highly determined, passionate woman, who laughs constantly and breathes creativity and energy. She currently lives with her husband and her little daughter in Centrum Amsterdam. She enjoys cycling along the Canals, roaming Waterloo Plein market in Saturdays and continues inspiring everyone that crosses her way.
